OUR SHOUT! ARTS INSTRUCTORS

Juan Carlos Camarena

JAZZ, LATIN BALLROOM, STREET LATIN & FOLKLORICO DANCE INSTRUCTOR

Juan Carlos Camarena has been dancing for over 10 years and is very excited to share both his love of and his talent for dance with the community. Juan began his dance career at a very young age by accident (with Jazz Dance).  He soon discovered that the infectious rhythms and movement enlivened his mind, body and spirit. His following foray into Folklorico and Musical Theater left him even more convinced that he had a knack for dance. After graduating from high school, Juan found interest in Latin rhythms and began working to achieve a competition level of excellence.

Behind all the hard work - a tremendous dancer has emerged ready to take on the world. He is currently training, being mentored through the University of California at Berkeley's Dance Department and improving everyday in any rhythm he can get a hold of. He inspires many to go far and has himself auditioned for television shows. Dancing has not only became his passion but it has changed his life, helping him improve his health, mind and confidence.

Tanya Periera

BEGINNER VOICE INSTRUCTOR

Tanya has loved music all her life and has been in many School and Church Choirs.  She also studied piano for 4 years as a child and believes it is important that we not only share our singing talents but that we also learn in the process.
